Music that equals; Food For Thought

You see what my problem is?
That I don’t know where my poppa is
No positive male role model
To play football and build railroad models
It’s making a hole you’ve been digging it
Cause you ain’t been kicking it
Since I was old enough to hold bottles

Man, this song has always made me sad.  I hate that people produce children then won’t take care of them.  Hurts my soul truly.  What’s most disturbing is how our black community has adapted to the fatherless homes.  I’ll be honest when I was younger I never imaged a man around permanently.  I guess I figured I’d be single, or be a single parent.  That’s not ok. These kids need two parents.  I wish we could just do the right thing
