Is there room for black expression in America?

Just curious…I’ve heard alot of people talk about conformity and assimilation lately. Does expressing who you are as a black man or woman mean less opportunity in America? I mean I get it, we conform all the time to win in this system, i.e. College, Wall Street, fashion, etc. But how much are we willing to change to fit into someone else’s ideal of who we should be? I’d rather be happy than rich, but i’m realistic i’m not trying to be broke no more than the next person…So what is the solution? Im down for a cultural revolution. #ImaniAllDay

Peace and Love Yall

p.s. I’m definitely going to invest in tattoo number 6….eventually. Its in honor of life, self knowledge and Ghana 😉
